I visited Taste of Melbourne, a renowned food and wine event in the heart of Melbourne

Last weekend I visited Taste of Melbourne, a renowned food and wine event in the heart of Melbourne. Asconi Winery showcased their wines.

The weather for the weekend could have been better, but it was a very enjoyable experience nonetheless! I enjoyed their original Frosé so much I came away with a 750ml bottle of Asconi Sol Negru Rosé 2015 along with the recipe to make my own Frosé at home..

Ingredients:

1 x 750ml Sol Negru Cabernet Sauvignon Rose

400 grams fresh watermelon

80 ml lemon juice

10 teaspoons raw sugar

8 fresh mint leaves

Method:

Blend watermelon (optional: strain to remove pulp)

Combine Rose, watermelon juice, lemon juice, sugar and stir

Add ice and garnish with mint leaves!

This will make enough for 4-6 people! Perfect for warm summer afternoons, gather your friends and family, and start sipping!
